Abigail & Christian 3

Chapter One

Abigail helped her children pack their bags for a trip to grandma and grandpas house while her husband finished up his last job before their vacation. After they dropped the kids off they had a plane to catch for Cairo. Abigail wanted to spend their anniversary not only enjoying Egypt but she also wanted to see if Baron’s Palace was truly as haunted as they say. Since she could see spirits she could easily find out if it was all gossip or if everything she had read online was true.

From what she read it very well could be. So many terrible things had happened there. Part of her want to go was to help any spirits if they hadn’t moved on. Nobody deserved to live their after life in a place that caused so much pain. It actually pained her to think anybody who had suffered there was truly stuck reliving their pain day after day when they should be resting in peace.

“Could I bring Foxy too?” Rorie, her five year old asked. “Of course baby” she added it to the small bag of stuffed animals they had already started. She had known he’d want to take multiple since he played with his stuffed animals quite a bit. Rorie’s and little Abners bags were completely packed so she went to check on her oldest son Lewis who was eight now. “all packed sweetheart?”

“I can’t find my Yoshi underwear”

“Maybe it’s dirty”

“would you wash them please?”

“We don’t have enough time at this point but I’ll find them in the laundry and I know your grandma will happily wash them for you”

“Thanks momma”

“I’m going to miss you babies”

“I’m not a baby”

“I know, but I’ll miss you”

“we’re going to have fun at grandma and grandpas” he said cheerfully and she smiled at him “so all good on the packing?”

“yeah, I guess I’m done if my Yoshi underwear is in the laundry” Abi walked out and checked the laundry basket, sure enough, there they sat. She grabbed a plastic bag from under the sink and tossed them in, pulling out her phone to text her mother about the need to wash them when she dropped the kids off.v

“Everybody ready to go?” Christian asked when he came out the computer room.

“Just waiting for you baby.” Abigail replied and he pressed a quick kiss to her lips.

“You guys are gross.” Lewis said, making a face.

Christian laughed and pulled Abigail into his arms, pressing kisses to her cheek until she laughed. “Someday you’ll be kissing on someone too.”

“No way.”

“Come on, I bet grandma and grandpa are excited to see you guys. Just remember if you get worried you can facetime us.” Abigail said.

“I know” Lewis said proudly. It was adorable to both his parents how grown their eldest son felt at only eight years old. Christian lifted their youngest son Abner in his arms and carried him out to to the car while the older two boys just ran right out. Abi put the boys bags in the trunk while her husband made sure all three were buckled in the car properly. Christian enjoyed how things flowed so well within his little family. Parenthood wasn’t easy, especially now that they had three but they had good boys and he knew he had an amazing partner in his wife. Before long they were at Abi parents house and the boys almost crawled over eachother to get out of the car. “Boys” Abigail laughed as she got out.

Abel had been waiting outside, ready to help them with either the boys or the bags. “remember dad, we don’t mind calls. If the boys wont listen get us on the phone or if one even just wants to talk let us know”

“Only if you promise to not worry about them. This is a trip for you anniversary, have fun. We are just going to be here spoiling our grandchildren rotten” she hugged her dad “you and mom are the best. I’m so lucky” They all walked inside where Cora seemed to be baking for an army to come through “mom” Abigail reprimanded “I’m grandma and it’ll be us dealing with the sugar rush so just let me have my fun” she shook her head “you’re braver than I, sugaring up three rambunctious little boys”

“Abi and Leo are coming over too, so they can help.”

“How are they doing?”

“Good, don’t tell them I told you, but Abi’s going to talk to him about kids.”

“You would think after being a ghost she wouldn’t be nervous about anything, but she is.” Abel said as he lifted Abner.

“They’ll make good parents.” Abigail said. “Alright, we better get going or we’ll miss our flight.”

She and Christian took turns hugging and kissing the boys then they hugged Cora and Abel, her parents making her promise once again not to worry and to have a good time. “You nervous?” Christian asked as they pulled away from Cora and Abel’s home.

“About the boys?”

“Yeah.”

“Yeah, a little. I know it’s silly, but I can’t help it.”

“It’s never silly to worry about the kids, but you and I know that your parents would never let anything happen to them. Abel would shoot someone and I’m sure Cora knows a poltergeist or two.”

Abigail laughed “I’m glad they could keep them. I don’t know if I could have left them with anybody else”

“well in any case I’m happy you agreed on this trip. I wanted to do something extra special this year”

“even though I’m dragging you somewhere haunted?”

“All the more fun baby, however, lets do some romantic stuff first” She laid her head on his shoulder, enjoying the closeness as he drove them to the airport. It was weird having such a quiet car but it was nice at the same time, especially when Christian started singing to her. It had been only recently she realized he had an amazing voice. She had come home early from something and heard him singing in the shower. Though he still wouldn’t sing around anybody but her she loved those rare moments he’d sing just because he knew she liked it.

Once at the airport, Christian parked the car and got the luggage. They caught the bus just in time and Abigail was practically bouncing with excitement. Christian loved seeing her smile, loved seeing that child like joy on her face. He pulled her close to him, his lips pressing to her cheek and earning them some adoring looks from an older couple. Abigail just smiled lovingly at him and he felt himself melt. They were through security and at their gate in no time and waited snuggled together until it was time to board. “I can’t believe we’re actually going to Egypt.” Abigail said once they were settled into their seats. “I mean we’re really going.”

Christian chuckled. “And I get you all to myself.”

“Oh stop.” She blushed and he rubbed their noses together.

“I really love you, Abigail.”

“I love you too.”

When they arrived in Egypt Christian could see on Abigails face she was was tempted to call her parents to check on the boys so he took her hand “they are fine. Your parents love those boys immensely and you know well how tough each one of them is if anything were to happen. They’d kick anythings ass and we have good boys. I know they are minding their grandparents. Besides, there’s a seven hour time difference” he looked at his watch “the boys are sleeping back home even though it’s daylight here” She felt relief he brought his watch. It would be easier to know what time it was there using that instead of having to count seven hours ahead every time she looked at the clock. “and some people says watchs are useless” she said happily before kissing her husband.

He chuckled “I knew I should bring it for you. We’ll call them tomorrow though okay”

“Thank you”

“I want you to be able to relax and enjoy this trip with me beautiful”

It didn’t take them long to get to their hotel or to get checked in. Abigail wanted very much to get out and explore even through her worry. There were so many amazing places, pyramids and tombs, even camels to ride. Christian had her in his arms the moment their luggage was out of his hand and she giggled as he pressed kisses to her lips. “Christian.”

“Sorry, I just needed to recharge after such a long flight. Why are plane rides so exhausting?”

“Let’s go stretch out legs and get something to eat. I want to do some looking around, this place is so beautiful.”

“Anything you want baby, I just like seeing you happy. You’re so cute with how excited you are.”

“I can’t wait to take the boys out of the country, there’s so much I want them to see and experience.”

“Lets do it next year. When we get home we can figure out where we want to go with the boys” She lit up even more making Christian melt for her again. Many couples complained about things getting boring as the years passed but Christian just found more reasons to love Abigail with each passing year. Her laugh was just as magical, her eyes just as stunning, how small she was compared to him was just as adorable and most of all her soul only seemed to become more and more beautiful. He wanted this to be the best anniversary. Christian wanted it to be one Abigail would always remember so when they left the hotel he let her pick where they ate and just listened to her angelic voice go on and on about things they had seen on the way to find food.

She realized he wasn’t saying much as their food arrived “Christian? You okay?”

“Yeah, why beautiful?”

“I’m doing most of the talking”

“You know I just love to listen. I guess I’m just a bit day dreamy with this trip being for our anniversary…I can’t believe I’ve had you another year” His words made her heart palpitate. She reached out, taking her husbands hands “you’re so sweet Christian”

“and you’re so amazing, amazing and perfect. I’m just so happy you picked me”

“same for me with you. You’re a really good husband Christian”

Christian smiled. “You really don’t know how lucky I am, Abigail. I could have spent the rest of my life in a wheelchair, never knowing true happiness. I was so resigned to my fate, but you changed everything and I’ll never be able to say thank you enough.”

Abigail felt herself tearing up. “You shouldn’t be making me cry in front of all of these people.”

He brought her knuckles up to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss to them. “I love you more than you’ll ever know.”

“Me too.”

He let her hand go so they could eat, but couldn’t take his eyes off of her. Abigail’s cheeks stayed red the whole time they were there and her heart danced erratically in her chest. Nobody looked at her the way Christian did. There was so much love and need for her in his eyes, so much promise.

Chapter Two

After they ate they walked around to get a good feel of what was close in preparation for tomorrow and just to take in the sights and sounds. Abigail had her husband chuckling as they walked around since she said quite a few times in excitement “I can’t believe we’re in Egypt” They stayed out until they knew their boys would be up back home. Once they realized they were they went back to their room to Skype them. “Hey babies!” Abigail said excitedly, melting at how her youngest son lit up. Her boys were practically talking over eachother, saying nothing but good things about their visit so far with their grandparents.

“I’m so happy you guys are having fun” she said then Christian added “and your mom and I have decided we’re taking you three on a trip next year so let us know if there’s anywhere you want to go”

“Oh that sounds fun” Cora answered

They talked a little more with their children until they seemed to get bored and wander off to either play or watch cartoons. It had both Abigail and Christian smiling. “I guess they don’t miss us as much as I thought.” Abigail said.

“That’s what’s great about being little, there’s so much to do.” Cora replied. “How’s the trip so far?”

“It’s amazing mom, there’s so much to see, I don’t think I’ll get to it all. I mean we’re actually here.” She took her tablet over to the window. “I mean look, it’s just so amazing.”

“It looks beautiful, I can’t wait until we can take our trip.” Abigail turned it to face her as she sat back down with Christian. “So, Christian, have any romantic dates planned?”

“Of course, but they’re surprises.” He said with a wink and a smile.

“When did you have time to set up dates?” Abigail asked.

“Did you forget, I’m magic.” She playfully nudged him and he kissed her cheek.

Cora looked away from the camera as one of the boys called her. “Well, duty calls, you two have fun and remember to take a day to just kick back and relax.”

“We will mom, love you.”

“Love both of you.”

Abigail sighed happily as she shut her laptop “I’m really glad we made that video call. I feel a lot better about leaving the boys home. I think I sort of felt guilty even though I know this is a normal thing to do. They are obviously happy there” Christian kissed her cheek “I knew the boys would be fine and regardless I just really wanted some time with my wife” he kissed her shoulder before continuing “I love my boys with all that I am but it’s nice that I wont have to share you for a bit” He licked up her neck “plus we’re guaranteed some intimacy without anybody yelling for us” Abigail moaned and soon felt his hands sliding up her shirt. She smiled, getting up to set the computer on the small table.

When Abigail turned back around she nearly laughed at the fact he was already almost completely naked. This was definitely something they needed. Abner had only just turned two last month, he was still a baby and majorly affecting their ability to have sex. Not that either of them would trade him for the world but she knew how badly her husband missed their normal sex life, she mainly knew because of how much she missed it too. Abigail started stripping tauntingly as she walked towards the bed. She hadn’t quite lost all the baby weight from Abner so it felt amazing to see how turned on he was by her.

Christian couldn’t take much of her teasing and let out a sound somewhere between a whine and a growl as he pressed her into the mattress, his kisses hungry, his hands exploring, his fingers finding every spot that made her moan and writhe. Lust and love mixed explosively and the wolf begged for its mate. He felt a shiver of pleasure move up his spine when he pushed into her heat and he laced their fingers together, wanting to be completely connected her. “I love you, I love you so much.” He said, his voice a husky whisper.

Abigail felt her eyes grow damp at how loved he made her feel and managed to pull her hands free to cling to him, her lips pressing back into his, matching his hungry kisses. He sat back, taking her with him, his arms holding her close as they moved together, the room filled with the sounds of their lovemaking. His teeth found her shoulder as she quivered around him and he found himself shaking as he filled her, his arms tightening around her to keep her there. “Oh Christian.” She said weakly and he planted a kiss on her shoulder before letting his lips wander back up to hers. “I really do love you.”

“Me too.” He pressed their foreheads together, savoring the contact with her, wanting to stay like that forever. When he could bring himself to move, he lifted her and carried her into the bathroom, wanting to take a bath with her. He sat her gently on the counter, giving her another quick kiss before moving away to fill the tub.

“I’m lucky I have such a strong husband, I don’t think I can walk.”

He chuckled. “Good, that means you’re at the mercy of my affection.”

She smiled, feeling blissful as she watched him fill the tub. Once the water was ready he lifted his mate again and carefully set her in the water before getting in behind her, pulling her down into him so he could hold her while they relaxed. She soon felt his fingers run up and down her arms “Oh Christian” she said softly. “That was so nice, having you without worrying about our sons.”

‘well, at least Abner is getting older so it’ll get easier to have sex again” she felt Christian kiss the back of her head “I can’t believe that boy is two”

“I know and Lewis is eight”

“dont even say that” she laughed at his reaction to her words then moved so she could give him a kiss.

“So, when is our first romantic date?” Abigail asked once they were out and back in bed. She sat between his legs while he leaned against the headboard, his eyes on the TV.

“Tomorrow, I picked a place you’ll really like. We have to ride camels out. Well, we don’t have to, but I thought you might want to.”

“I don’t even get a clue as to where it is?”

His eyes moved to her face and an amused grin pulled at his lips. “Nope and don’t even think about trying to get it out of me, I’ve sworn myself to secrecy.”

“You’re not supposed to keep secrets from your wife.”

“But when the reward is seeing you smile, I think it’s alright.” He rubbed their noses together, making her heart dance.

“Alright, I guess I can let it go this time.” She smiled back at him.

They relaxed awhile before finally succumbing to sleep cuddled up to one another. When the morning light pouring in from their rooms window woke Abigail she was tempted to jump up and out of bed but when she looked up at her sleeping husbands face she couldn’t. She thought to herself “How often do I just get to lay in bed with him in the mornings and how often does he just get to sleep” so she stayed still, soaking up his warmth and occasionally admiring his handsome, peaceful face. She only woke him when she had to go to the bathroom and that wasn’t even on purpose. It had been the sound of the bathroom door closing that roused him from slumber.

“Morning beautiful” he said once she came out “good morning, how’re you feeling?”

“Great, I don’t know what to do with that much sleep” she laughed and joined him back in bed “want to stay here longer or go out?”

“Don’t ask me that or I’ll be tempted to keep you here all day.” Abigail blushed and Christian chuckled as he pressed a kiss to her forehead. “Let’s go, we have exploring to do and a romantic date to go on, I wouldn’t miss it.”

“Alright baby.”

They got up and quickly dressed, making sure they were in something that would keep them cool. They both made sure they had their room keys, wallets, and phones then headed out hand in hand. Christian couldn’t help but pull her closer when they stepped out and she received looks from a couple of men they passed. It wasn’t that he was jealous, but the wolf really didn’t like guys eyeing his mate. Abigail just giggled, making his heart do a little flip and a blush of embarrassment tint his cheeks. “Don’t tease.”

“But it’s just so cute.”

He bent his head and pressed a big kiss to her lips, causing her to erupt into a fit of laughter. “You’re cute, I’m completely and utterly manly.”

“So tough.” She teased.

“You know it.”

Christian guided his mate to where the camels were and found the man that was supposed to be their cicerone. Christian was relieved when he was not only just going to tell them the way but he was going to guide them. He could just enjoy his mate more this way. Abigail felt a new rush of excitement cascade through her as she sat atop the large animal. She didn’t even feel like bothering her husband for where they were going. Everything was so beautiful and so astoundingly amazing. Abi began taking to memory every scent for when she inevitably had to leave this place. She always wanted to remember the smell of the dessert, of the people hustling around, of the amazing creature she was riding, of simply everything that surrounded her right now.

Christian moved ahead a little to talk to their guide and Abigail was so engrossed in everything that it took her a moment to realize he wasn’t next to her anymore. She had to fight the urge to tune her hearing into his voice, not wanting to spoil anything. He nodded to the guide and fell back so he was next to her a smile on his face. “What was that about?”

“I asked if he would help me out with something for our date before coming here. I was just confirming that everything was set up. He was nice enough to come out here beforehand.”

“It’s not something that’s going to get stolen is it?”

“He assured me he stashed everything so it wouldn’t be bothered.”

“Seriously, how did you accomplish this?”

“A couple of days before we left home, when you were sleeping, I made some calls.”

Chapter Three

Their destination was a little oasis behind the Pyramids of Giza and their guide took them to where he had hidden the basket of food and bottle of wine. “My wife cooked for you two, she said if you were going to have a picnic then you needed good food.”

“You really didn’t have to trouble yourselves.” Abigail said.

“My wife insisted.” He reached behind a tree and pulled out a blanket and a basket. “I will take the camels over to the next oasis so you two can enjoy your time together.”

“Thank you.” Christian said as he spread out the blanket.

“It’s not a problem and happy anniversary.”

Abigail pulled Christian into a kiss when the man was gone “I love this.” Christian smiled “well I love you”

“If I wasn’t worried about someone seeing us I’d have you right here on this blanket” He chuckled “well there’s always our room later gorgeous” They spent a few hours just enjoying their picnic then they walked to the next oasis to join back with their guide. That night Abigail barely waited for them to be in their room before she started to strip Christian which only made him chuckle and begin to help her get their clothes off. They made love until they simply couldn’t any longer and passed out in eachothers loving embrace.

The next morning they showered, Christian doing his best not to keep her there in the room. He could spend every day just wrapped in her arms, making love to her, but he wanted her to see everything she had talked about. They went out for breakfast, deciding to grab something and walk around. Abigail was easily distracted by little trinket stores and when she found something she really loved, Christian immediately got it. It wasn’t like they were too far from their room and could just drop everything off when they passed by.

“Can we head to the Baron’s Palace?” She asked once they had circled back and dropped everything off.

“Of course baby, whatever you want.”

“I hope there really isn’t anything lingering there. There are a lot of stories but you know how it goes with some places.”

“well if there are I don’t mind spending a little bit of our anniversary helping people move on.”

“really?”

“You and Cora, that’s who you are. You were given a gift and you are amazing women for feeling the need to use it like you do. I have everything in order for us to view it. We have permission to go when we please so lets get our guide. I tried as hard as i could to be allowed to explore it on our own but Cairos government insisted no tourists by themselves inside”

“well we get to see and explore it, Thats all that matters. If I have to scare our escort to help someone so be it”

Baron Palace was even more beautiful in person than any of the pictures they had seen and even Christian marveled at the architecture, his mouth hanging slightly open. Even though there were so many wonderful buildings and pieces of history, there was something about this place. Even though he couldn’t see spirits, he could sense an energy about the place. Their guide was waiting for them, a smile of his face as he greeted them. “I am sorry you cannot go in alone, but I will try not to interfere too much.”

“It’s fine, we understand, a place as beautiful and as old as this should be protected.” Christian replied.

“Thank you for your understanding, there are some people who are furious at the idea. It is not that we do not want people to see palace, it is just so important.”

“Can we go inside?” Abigail asked excitedly and the guide smiled.

“Of course, please follow me.”

They both marveled at how beautiful this place still was as Abigail also paid attention from any ghosts that might want to talk to her. She felt something, just as her mate did. There was something here. They couldn’t tell if it was good or bad but there was undoubtedly an entity in this place.

Christian instinctively pulled Abigail close as they made their way into the building, his heightened senses alerting them that they were not alone. He opened them further, his nose and ears taking in everything. “Do you see anything?” He asked soft enough that their guide would not hear them.

“No, I just feel it.” Abigail replied.

They listened to their guide talk, happy that he frequently stopped to see if they had any questions. Hearing about the different people who had died here would help her know who they were dealing with and if they had been violent in life. She let her eyes move over the beautiful interior, but also searched for any sign that a spirit was near. She knew that even good spirits could give off an oppressive air, sometimes caused by intense emotions. They were often the kind that went poltergeist and started throwing things. She hoped she could resolve any issues without the place being destroyed or their guide getting injured.

Abigail started hearing the voices so many others before her had heard. Their guide either didn’t hear them or was so used to them they didn’t even bother him any longer. He just walked along ahead of them as if nothing was happening. Abigail looked at her husband to make sure it wasn’t just her. She could tell by the look in his eyes he was hearing them aswell. Now they knew for absolute certain there were spirits here. Now just to find out if they were good or bad.

Abigail listened as hard as she could but even with her super human hearing it was more like gibberish than anything else. She wondered if it was merely a language she didn’t understand or if it was just an extremely weak entity that struggled to talk due to how little power he or she had. Finally she made out something “Chamber of the Rosary” Abigail spoke up because from looking into this place she knew one of the rooms here was called that “sir”

“Yes mam”

“Will you take us to The Chamber of the Rosary?”

“I’m sorry but there have been many accidents in that room. I am not permitted to let you see it”

“I don’t want to cause trouble and I’m grateful for being let in at all since many are denied but please”

“I cannot, we will all be breaking the law. You have not been granted permission”

“but I’m here to help. I can make the spirit leave so this place will be safe again” The man seemed to at least be thinking and Abigail prayed he wouldn’t give them any more trouble about it. She was there to help these spirits and she wasn’t going to leave without getting in that room. He gave a deep sigh “If you get harmed I will tell my superiors you two wolves shifted and I was unable to stop you from going in. You will be imprisoned, do you understand that? They will believe me over you two”

“we will take full responsibility, wont we baby” she looked at her husband who nodded “yes, please take us where my wife wishes to go. She wouldn’t insist unless the spirits were calling her. Abi has incredible gifts and even if we do get hurt we are super human and will heal without a hospital”

“Then follow me” he said almost gravely. Abigail started going through her mind everything she had heard about that room so she would be as ready as possible.

“This room feels cold.” Christian said once they were let in. Their guide stayed back. “You should go back and wait for us.”

“I should stay.”

“Please, we won’t touch anything.” Abigail said as she turned to him with an encouraging smile. “Whether you believe in ghosts or not, I wouldn’t want you getting hurt.”

“But…”

“We’ll be fine and if we’re not we’ll yell for you. We promise to be out of here as fast as possible.”

“alright then, this room was closed for many reasons, keep that in mind. Regardless if anybody believes in ghosts, people have certainly gotten hurt in this room” The man left, closing the door behind him. “I can’t see you, please, show yourself to me” Two women appeared and Abigail took a guess “Helena and Merriam, the Barons sister and daughter” The older one nodded, while Meriiam moved closer to Helena. “why are you still here?” Helena answered “you see us? Really?”

“Yes and I understand you perfectly now. I couldn’t before”

“sound has never traveled well here, even now that it’s empty. I’m surprised you heard us atall”

“Please, why are you here?”

“Merriam still needs me and I cannot leave her…I already left her to her father when I allowed him to kill me…I wont leave her now. I stayed by her side as a spirit and now I tend to her”

“so the rumors were true, you didn’t fall”

“No, we were fighting over Merriam and I told him I would reveal she wasn’t truly mentally disabled…I shouldn’t have threatened him…I should have just done it..I had just wanted to give him a chance himself to do right by her. My brother was all about control and there was no better way to have total control over my niece than pretending she was crazy and paying off doctors to certify her” Abigail looked at the fearful younger woman “Your death was suspicious too…did he kill you” Merriam wouldnt answer but the emotion on her face told Abigail she had been murdered too. “why do you stay here Merriam? It must be painful for you”

“He…he won’t let me go.”

“Your father?”

Merriam nodded. “And I am the only thing keeping him at bay. Even souls such as ours can be harmed by our own. He is vindictive, cold, evil. If I moved on, she would be harmed and even in death I could not live with myself.”

“What brings him on?” Abigail asked.

“He stalks us through this place like a crazed lunatic. This room is the only place we can truly hide. I left my mark upon my death and I have made this room ours for the time being. He knows when we leave, when we venture out calling for help. He’s growing stronger and I fear I won’t be able to keep her safe here for much longer.”

“Do you know how he’s keeping you here?”

“No, only that Merriam has tried letting go of this world and she can’t.” Helena seemed to remember something. “There were people, chanting and calling out to something. It was all so strange and it left me feeling terrified.”

“Satanists.” Christian said as he scanned the room, still looking out for any signs of danger and ready to shove Abigail out of the way if necessary.

“Maybe if I find him and force him to leave you two will be able to leave as well”

“He’s a strong spirit, he’d be able to hurt you”

“Christian is with me, I know I can do it. I came here to help and I wont leave until you are free.”

“Would you like us to leave the room with you to draw him?”

“Are you sure Helena?’

“Yes, we can always rush back in once he comes to you” Abigail looked at Christian “are you ready?”

“Of course” They left the room with the spirits and it didn’t take long for The Baron to come swooping into the room. The smell and feeling he created almost made Abigail nauseous. Helennd Maris which seemed to piss him off. He seem to understand it had all been a set up to get him around Abigail. Just incase the two had brought a messenger bag full of things to help them exercise an evil spirit and while Abigail tried to talk to him Christian started pulling things out.

“You little bitch.” He growled as he sent a gust of air at Abigail, trying to knock her off her feet. She brought her arms up to guard her face and managed to stay on her feet. One of the greatest things about having a cop for a father was him insisting she learn to defend herself and she put those techniques into play as the Baron’s spirit fought her.

“Stop this now, there’s no reason for you to torture these women. They haven’t done anything to you.” She yelled back.

“They are mine and they will do as I say, they will stay where I put them.”

Abigail glanced at Christian, seeing he was nearly done setting up. “You’re nothing but a weak little man who has to beat on defenseless women to show how powerful he is.” She knew she should never goad an evil spirit, but it was the only way she was going to get him into the circle Christian was making with stones. She started backing up, keeping her eyes on the Baron. “Come on, come and get me.”

Edward Empain either had no knowledge of what he was flying into or was so blinded by rage he didn’t notice but he came at Abigail, just as she had wanted him too and realized quickly he couldn’t get out of that spot. They didn’t need to tell eachother they had to hurry as Abigail helped her mate exercise the spirit. Making him leave this world was so difficult it had them both drenched in sweat when they finally forced him out. Though Christian was every bit as worn as Abigail he still needed to go over to her and ask “are you okay?”

“Of course, you baby?”

“Yeah” the two women slowly came out “he’s really gone? It feels as though he is”

“He is, you two are free. Please, rest in peace now. There’s no reason for you to linger any longer” the two ghosts began to sob and were soon gone. Abigail almost cried herself from happiness. She was over joyed they were actually able to help and the exhaustion didn’t help her keep her composure emotionally. The guide had either been standing there unnoticed or had just run up “is she alright?” he asked Christian and Christian lifted her “I think our tour is over. We’re going to go home” The man nodded and showed them the way out.

“Christian your tired too” she protested, wanting him to put her down “I can still take you back to the room baby” When they got back they took a shower together, changed then settled into bed to relax a bit after exerting themselves so much. When they woke again they called home to talk to her parents about what happened and check on the boys again. They were still having a good time with grandma and grandpa and her parents were incredibly proud they had helped the spirits “The rest of your vacation better be fun though”

“I think Christian has more surprises for me” Abigail said happily so Christian said “I do, I’m glad we did it while we were here though and also went ahead and got it out of the way so early in the trip” The rest of the days of their anniversary trip were amazing and when they got home to their boys they immedietly started planning the trip they would take them on next year. The next one would be all about fun. They were all immortal but they only had so long of their three amazing children being little.
