Alastor & Cyrino 3

Chapter One

Alastor hummed as he walked back from the village below his and Cyrino’s home, bringing back the food he had bought for dinner. Cyrino’s most recent job had been tough, having to save the life of a small child. Alastor had hated having to help the families oldest child hold their parents back. He wanted to do something for him. He was so focused on Cyrino, that he nearly ran straight into the demon that had appeared in the road. His heart stuttered and he jumped back. “Um, excuse me.” He looked the demon over, seeing he closely resembled Cyrino.

“Are you Cyrino’s mate?”

“Uh, who are you?”

“I heard about you because of his work.” He moved closer and Alastor found himself frozen. The demon grabbed him by his throat then looked him over. “A mate, but unclaimed. My, my, he has become complacent.” He let Alastor go.

“Who are you?”

“His uncle, his father sent me.”

“For what?”

“Dinner? Curiosity over you perhaps? My nephews tend to avoid them like the plague until they are forced to visit.”

Alastor swallowed. “Why tell me? Our home is right up there?”

He shrugged. “I saw you first, smelled him on you.”

“Oh, um, you could come up, I could wake him.”

“If you don’t mind.”

Alastor began walking again. Cyrinos Uncle made him uncomfortable, especially after grabbing his throat but he knew Cyrino wouldn’t let anything happen to him once he was home. What Alastor hated most about it was that he had wanted to try to make Cyrino feel better after his tough job. Now he was bringing back somebody he guessed he wouldn’t be happy to see. Cyrino was out the door just as they were approaching it. “Has he done anything to you?” the question obviously directed at Alastor “No, he just wants to see you…he says your father sent him”

His Uncle sighed “don’t be a rude twerp Cyrino.”

“It’s rude to come to homes you’re not welcome at”

“Your parents want to see you and meet him”

“and I take it no is out of the question?”

“Of course not. You can come to them or they will come to you. I assure you, it’ll be much more pleasant if you don’t make them travel”

“I don’t mind meeting them” Alastor interjected “see, he doesn’t mind. Since you haven’t claimed him I take it he’s in charge in this relationship anyway”

Cyrino growled at his uncle, but refused to stoop to throwing him out. “We will leave in the morning then.”

“There’s no reason to be so angry.”

“You came here uninvited for them.”

“Would you have invited me on your own?” Cyrino didn’t answer and his uncle chuckled. “See? It’s better this way. You know how irritated your father gets. Better me than him. He’s far more aggressive.”

Cyrino knew he was right. His father wouldn’t have asked, he would have demanded outright Cyrino come back with him, it was his way and always had been. “Fine.”

“I’ll see you in the morning then.” His eyes fell back on Alastor. “It was very nice to meet you, I hope you can look past my forcefulness.”

“Sure, uh…” he looked to Cyrino and then back. “Are you going to stay in town?”

“I am, I don’t think young Cyrino would allow me to sleep here.”

“Alright.”

“Good night, I’ll be here around nine.”

Cyrino now noticed the bag in Alastors hand. Instantly he could smell it and he said “you brought us dinner”

“Yeah…that last job was so hard I thought it would be nice. I wanted tonight to be a really good evening and it still can. Lets not stress about your family”

“Theres many good reasons I dont go see them Alastor”

“I believe you but they are insistent right now and being stressed wont change anything” Cyrino sighed, deciding that he would loosen up about the situation because his mate was right. Besides, Alastor would have enough to deal with upon meeting his parents. He deserved an amazing evening before. He took the bag from Alastor “thank you…I promise not to be irritable” Alastor hugged him “I love you”

“I love you too”

Alastor was happy when Cyrino seemed to relax over dinner and afterwards, they cleaned everything up and Cyrino lifted him and carried him to bed, cuddling with him. “I’m relieved he didn’t hurt you or anything.” Cyrino said.

“I doubt he would have, he didn’t seem that bad.”

Cyrino huffed and held him a little tighter. “Don’t go getting close to my uncle.”

Alastor let out a soft laugh. “Cyrino, there’s not reason to be jealous.”

“I know, I’m just mad at my parents mostly.”

“It’ll be good, don’t worry.” He ran his fingers over Cyrino’s back, trying to soothe him.

Cyrino pressed a kiss to his neck and then lifted his head to kiss his lips, causing Alastor’s skin to heat and heart to stutter. He smiled and allowed his hand to push under Alastor’s shirt to feel him. He did want him, but he worried what his mate would think of his wildness. Demons were monsters and he was no exception and if he scared Alastor away, he would hate himself. “I love you, Alastor, more than anything.”

“I love you too.” He was breathless, his skin covered in goosebumps and heart beating excitedly in his chest. He could see the lust in his mate’s eyes, feel it in the way he touched him. “Cyrino?”

“Yes?”

“Um, why don’t you claim me?” He swallowed nervously. “I mean it just seems like such an important thing.”

Cyrino let out a sigh and pressed their foreheads together. “It is, especially for my kind.”

“then…we should”

“I’m worried”

“why?”

“That I’ll scare you. I’m a demon, an animal really. We make love so…passionately…I’d rather not have you that way than scare you and not have you at all Alastor” Alastor once again couldn’t believe how sweet his mate was when it came to him “Cyrino, I could never be afraid of you”

“you’re sure you want to try?” Alastor sat up, pulling off his shirt then undoing his pants, slowly taking them off due to the slight bit of nerves he felt since this would be their first time. He kissed Cyrino and soon felt his demons hands all over his body, exploring more than he ever had before. Alastor moaned, loving how it felt. Soon Cyrinos lips were pressing all over Alastor. Cyrino was going to take their first time slow, he wanted to savor every moment.

Alastor almost couldn’t do anything. He was so nervous and even just Cyrino caressing and kissing him so much felt incredible but he didn’t want to just lay there so he let his fingers slowly rake through Cyrinos hair since he had done it once and seen how much he liked it. Then when Cyrino moved lower to kiss just above his underwear Alastor let his fingers softly rake down his back, causing Cyrino to moan. Cyrino grabbed his underwear then looked up at his mate as if to ask if it was really okay. Alastor bit his lips, his heart thudding as he nodded. Cyrino pulled them off, taking a second to admire seeing all of his mate.

“Remember, you can tell me no.” Alastor nodded, too nervous to speak.

Cyrino let his fingers trace lightly over Alastor’s skin, moving over his abdomen and lower to wrap around him. He leaned down, his lips lightly brushing Alastor’s as he stroked him. His lips parted on a soft moan. Alastor’s fingers gripped his arms, his hips rocking with each down stroke. “Cyrino, I…I’m…”

Cyrino kissed him, trailed kisses over his chin and down, letting his teeth bite down on his soft skin, leaving mark after mark. He let his tongue slide over Alastor, reveling in the taste of him. Alastor’s body shook as he grew closer to his release and he clung tightly to the blanket beneath him as he burst in Cyrino’s mouth. He lay there panting as Cyrino kissed his way back up his body. He shivered at the lust swimming in his demon’s eyes, the need to dominate him evident. “More?” His voice came out a husky growl of need.

“Yes.”

Chapter Two

Cyrino was proud and honestly a little surprised how calm and loving he could keep this first time. He had had sec plenty times before but he guessed how much he loved Cyrino and worried about him kept that beast within him at bay while they made love. They cuddled after and Cyrino kissed his forehead, hoping Alastor knew how grateful he was for this moment. He fell asleep in bliss but morning brought back thoughts of his Uncle. Cyrino sighed, he guessed he at least had something immensely positive to think about today when dealing with his asshole father. This had finally brought about them making love. He just hoped his Uncle had enough tact not to mention that they had finally been together this way when they saw him today.

“Alastor, love, we need to get up.” He said softly as he brushed a kiss to Alastor’s lips. Alastor let out a little groan as he opened his eyes and Cyrino smiled at him as he gathered him close. “Good morning.”

“Oh, good morning Cyrino.” He snuggled closer, pressing his forehead against Cyrino’s chest.

“How are you feeling?” He heard Alastor’s heart skip, felt his skin head and he couldn’t help but laugh.

“I’m fine.” Alastor was too embarrassed to look at him. “Maybe a little sore.”

“How about a bath before we get ready.”

“Okay.”

Cyrino squeezed him. “You’re far too cute my love.” He kissed his forehead then got up, lifting him and carrying him into the bathroom.

Alastor let out a little sigh once he was finally sitting in the warm water with Cyrino behind him. He relaxed into him and Cyrino kissed the back of his neck, causing goosebumps to crawl over his skin. “How long until your uncle gets here?”

Cyrino sighed. “Half an hour, maybe less. I don’t want to go.”

“It’ll be alright, don’t worry so much. Besides, it should be fine now, right?”

“Alastor,” he gently turned his head, “I didn’t claim you so they would accept you or so it would be easier. I love you.”

“I know, I just mean maybe now they won’t make such a big deal out of it.” He reached up and rested his hand on Cyrino’s cheek. “You’re my everything, Cyrino, you know that.” He relaxed back into Cyrino. “Why is it so important for your people though?”

“Claiming your mate is important for most demons, it says this person is mine and only mine and no one else is allowed to touch them, but for my people it’s like a sign of manhood. If we can’t conquer our mates, then we can’t conquer anything.”

“Oh, I see. So that’s why he thought I was in charge.”

“He’s not wrong, in a way, you are.”

“We’re equal in this relationship” Cyrino smiled and kissed his mates head again “I know but what you want means more to me than anything else. I just want you to be happy with me Alastor. I feel incredibly lucky to have you”

“I’d still be a mess without you and you know it. We’re both lucky if anything” When Alastor’s Uncle came they were both ready, having long since gotten out of their bath and dressed. Cyrino could tell his Uncle noticed they had finally made love last night, he breathed easier when he didn’t say anything. Maybe his family had gotten a little better over the years, or, maybe just his Uncle had.

“We didn’t really have a proper introduction last time.” Alastor asked as Cyrino locked up and they started away. He held out his hand. “Alastor.”

Cyrino’s uncle stared into his eyes then let out a little huff of laughter. “No longer afraid I see.”

“You’re Cyrino’s uncle, I don’t think you’ll hurt me.”

“Then you don’t truly know demons. I could turn on you in an instant.”

Alastor smiled. “I don’t think you will.”

His uncle chuckled and shook Alastor’s hand. “Tenes.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Tenes.”

“I would be careful being so nice, Cyrino may not like it.” Tenes released his hand. “He and his brother have always been hot tempered.”

“Alastor is free to be friends with who he wishes, even if I don’t like it.” Cyrino took Alastor’s hand, lacing their fingers. “Despite what you may think, I am not his master.”

“I can see that little Cyrino.”

Cyrino lightly huffed as they began walking, annoyed at being called little. He mght have snapped back at his Uncle Tenes but he knew it would only be amusing and would encourage him to keep doing it. Annoyances were better kept to yourself in his family. He guessed he should have let Alastor know that but if things went bad with this visit he would just move again. They’d find him but it would give him a few years without his family. If they were the same it would be enough for Alastor to see why he stayed away so Cyrino told himself this would be the last time he saw them. When they discovered him again he would just fight them off and have that be an end to it.

“Are Fade and Eleri going to be there?” Alastor asked.

“Yes, of course they are.” Tenes answered.

“And did you bully them too?” Cyrino asked.

“Only a little and only Fade.”

“I’m surprised you didn’t greet Eleri as aggressively.”

“There’s a reason, I promise you.”

“I’m sure.”

Tenes chuckled and went back to talking to Alastor. “So young one, do you wish to know anything about Cyrino or his family?”

“I do, well about you actually if that’s alright.”

“Ask away.”

“Do you have a mate?”

Both Cyrino and Tenes laughed. “No, I don’t, not that I can blame anyone. People like you and Eleri are truly special, you manage to look past all of this.” He gestured to himself and then Cyrino. “But I do look forward to them coming into my life.”

“You don’t have a preference?”

Tenes shrugged. “My mate will be my mate, no matter their sex.”

“I see.”

“Anything else?”

“What are Cyrino’s parents like?”

“as he said, there’s reasons their children have to be forced to see them but I don’t want to put too much in your head before you meet them. I’m sure Cyrino has done plenty of that. At this point they really want their kids in their life and I don’t want past feelings to make that harder when it comes to their children’s mates.”

“Them, care about us more than themselves?” Cyrino added, resentment clear in his voice. Tenes sighed “You two have punished them long enough for them to learn they need to think about your feelings. You two are incredibly skilled at the silent treatment”

“I’ll believe they are different when I see it”

“good, so things will be wonderful”

Alastor asked Tenes more questions about his life and even about how Cyrino was growing up. He found himself enjoying Tenes’s company, seeing a lot of similarities between him and Cyrino. “So, Alastor, I heard you met while Cyrino was working.”

“I was a patient of his. My family had locked me up in hospital thinking I was crazy because I was born with too many souls. Cyrino took me away and saved me.”

“Whether you believe it or not, I am sorry. I’ve heard about people with your condition not being so lucky. For what it’s worth, I am glad Cyrino found you. I could not imagine what it must have been like.”

“Its was torture, I was always scared or stressed or depressed. I could barely even think most the time though that was probably the medication they forced me to be on. I’m glad he found me too. I’m proud to be with someone who helps beings suffering like I was”

“does he still do a lot of work with you around?” Tenes asked and Cyrino asnwered “yes, not as much but I still help those suffering with too many souls. I actually just finished a job when you showed up”

“Well it’s good you take time for your mate. What was the case?”

“It was a little kid. Just that alone would have made it difficult but the parents could barely take watching me help him”

“I’m sure they were grateful in the end.”

“Yeah”

Final Chapter

“You know, Cyrino, despite what you might think of me, I am proud of you and I think your parents are as well.”

“I’m sure they are.” He didn’t believe that, that his parents actually cared about what he did or who he was. They had always had their own idea of what he and Fade should be and they had refused to be that way.

“They have their own regrets Cyrino, even being demons. None of us are perfect, we’re monsters, dominating monsters.”

“I know.”

“Some of us are just a little more hot headed is all.”

“Not me.”

Tenes laughed. “Oh and what does Alastor have to say about that?” He looked to Alastor.

“Well, maybe just a little hot headed.” Alastor answered.

Cyrino wanted to be annoyed at his uncle, but he couldn’t. The man was actually trying and Alastor seemed to enjoy his company. “Alright, maybe a little then.”

They arrived at his parents without incident but Cyrino was tense, almost hoping they wouldn’t answer teh door when Tenes knocked regardless of how stupid that thought was. His father had sent Tenes so they were home. It would have even been better if his mother answered the door but it was Kagnous. Cyrino noticed his look wasn’t as severe as it had once been but he still didn’t feel any sort of urge to hug him or anything. “come in son, Tenes, Alastor” Kagnous said, stepping aside. Once inside his mother, Chreida gave them each brief hugs “we’re glad you came home. Your brother has already made it with his mate”

“well this is Alastor”

“He’s cute…he was human right?” he didn’t hear the disgust he had expected ‘yes he was”

“And how is my son treating you?” She asked Alastor.

“Good, he’s very sweet. He saved me actually.”

“Then I’m happy you met. His gift is a truly exceptional one, not many could do what he does.”

“I know, he’s amazing.”

She smiled and looked back to her son. “I set up your old room. If you need extra blankets then you know where they are.”

“I do.” He cleared his throat. “Where are Fade and Eleri?”

“In Fade’s room. I’m sure she’s trying to talk him into coming down. You and your brother are so incredibly stubborn. They have news for you though, Fade insisted they tell you themselves so I won’t spoil it.” Kagnous said. “Unless your uncle already has.”

“Oh yes brother because I lack a brain.” Tenes said to Kagnous.

“Well I knew that.”

“Shut up.”

Alastor let out a little laugh. “Now I see where you and Fade get it from.”

“Its good they have you laughing Alastor” The voice was Fades. He had heard their voices and finally came out of the room with an obviously pregnant Eleri. She had a small bump but she was so fit any baby bump at all would be quickly noticeable. She smiled “I think they see for themselves” Fade looked so proud and happy “Eleri is pregnant with our first child”

“Thats amazing” Alastor said and Eleri shined a little brighter with her own happiness “it is, I can’t wait to be a mom” Warmth filled Cyrino. Seeing his parents was worth getting that news. He wished he could have kids with Alastor. He’d look on the bright side though. No kids meant Alastor was always his and his alone. They went into their living room and all sat down “do you need anything to drink?” Chreida asked “we’re okay” Alastor answered.

“So, what’s all of this about?” Cyrino had to ask and he could see Fade was curious as well.

“Patience little Cyrino.” His uncle said and he shot him a glare. Alastor took his hand, smiling lovingly at him.

He forced himself to wait for his mother to finally take a seat and noticed she took his father’s hand. It wasn’t that he had never seen them show affection, it was just the way she did it and the way he looked at her, like he was thankful. “So?” He questioned.

“We had made peace with the fact that neither of you would ever be coming back.” Kagnous said. “I mean we practically had to manhandle you home this time.”

“What’s changed? Why now?”

“About a month ago your mother and I went on a trip. We had planned to be gone for awhile, but we were attacked. They wanted your mother, to sell her.” Chredia frowned and he moved to wrap his arm around her. “It was bad, unlike anything I’ve ever faced. The group that attacked us were incredibly skilled.”

“Your father nearly died.” Chredia said.

“You didn’t have to say it so bluntly, Chredia.”

“He killed them, but he had lost so much blood and they had used poison and magic against him. I was wounded and I was sure I was going to lose him, but we got to your uncle’s and he survived. He has scars, but he’ll live.”

“It was pure rage that kept me on my feet, but when we got back, we all thought I wasn’t going to make it. That’s when I started thinking about you two.”

Both boys were blown away by how emotional their father looked. He couldn’t even continue, their mother did “we’re so sorry boys. We’ve always loved you but we didn’t truly see…we didn’t understand just how wrong we were in the way we raised you boys. You were right to leave us, to be different. We want to be better, to be a part of your lives. We’re begging you two to give us a chance to prove we can be different. I mean, look at your father…you have to see he is nowhere near the man you boys left behind”

Cyrino nor Fade really knew what to say. The room fell silent until Alastor nudged Cyrino. He just let words flow, still unsure how to begin. There was so much baggage in their past. “I’m glad you two lived…you weren’t raped were you mom?”

“No, your father made sure of that. He really has always loved all of us” Fade spoke now “I…I am willing to work on our relationship but when my child comes I wont be so patient with how you treat them”

“That’s understandable but we promise, we’re going to be good parents, better parents than we were” Cyrino now spoke “me too, I’m willing to work on things between us”

“It’s all we can ask of you.” Kagnous said.

“You could have told us uncle.” Cyrino said to Tenes.

“It wasn’t my place and they asked me no to.”

“That’s never stopped you before.”

Tenes shrugged. “I very nearly lost my brother, Cyrino, I think I owed it to him to keep my mouth shut. I’m just glad I didn’t have to resort to kidnapping Alastor and Eleri to get you two to come with me.”

“You wouldn’t.” Eleri said.

“He would.” Fade replied.

“I wouldn’t have hurt them, you know that.” He sighed and they all noted for the first time how tired he looked. “I’m truly happy you all came.”

“All three of you looks tired” Cyrino said to his parents and Uncle. Fade continued “it’ll be awkward but maybe we could all just sit here and talk until night comes” Their mother smiled “I’d like that. Please, tell me about you boys and your mates, whoever wants to go first” Awkward glances were exchanged a few times before Eleri began filling them in on her life with Fade. It still blew Kagnous’s mind how different his boys were from him. They had been raised much like other demon children but somehow, they had much warmer hearts. Alastor had thought of some things to say by the time Eleri took a pause and glanced their way. Chreida smiled, glad that they were talking and that her sons didn’t look as uncomfortable as she had expected.

When they finally went to bed that night after dinner, Alastor could see that Cyrino was in deep thought, still conflicted about everything he had heard and how much his parents had changed. “Cyrino?”

“Hmm?” His eyes met Alastor’s.

“Are you alright?”

Cyrino sighed as he pulled his mate into his arms. “Yeah, sorry, just thinking about everything. All of this was so unexpected.”

“How are you feeling?”

“I nearly lost him and the thought hurts. Even though he wasn’t the best father, for him to die…and the way he treats my mother now, the way they treat each other is so different. I’m just not used to any of this so I don’t quite know how I should feel.”

Alastor smiled as he took Cyrino’s face gently in his hands. “Just give it time.”

“I really love you, Alastor and I’m so lucky to have you.”

“I’m the lucky one, without you I may not have made it. You saved me, you’re my hero.”

It meant the world that Alastor felt lucky to have him. As his Uncle had pointed out, they weren’t the most attractive demons. To have someone as good looking as Alastor was unbelievable to Cyrino. His brother had managed to find someone pretty as well that would actually take him. Cyrino drifted to sleep with his thoughts and the next morning he and Fade did their best to give their parents a real chance. Things actually went well and even Cyrino knew, that over time, they might actually have a close relationship like he had seen a few other demons manage to have with their families.
