She could call him now but she knew if she called him the Uber would suddenly appear. “come on, please” she whispered into the air. He was almost too good to be true. Chapter One

Aadi’s breath came out in panicked gasps as she ran, her stomach tied into knots as she heard them behind her, taunting her as they followed her trail of snapped twigs and broken branches. Why had she wandered so far from the campground? The two hunters followed her with ease, gaining on her even as she tried to lose them in the dark forest. She felt a weight hit her back and the ground came up to meet her, the air forced from her lungs as she hit the damp earth. She was flipped over and she began punching and scratching at the man straddling her hips, tears burning in her eyes as she screamed. The other came up behind them, grabbing her ankles while the one on top of her slammed her wrists to the ground. read more

Seren & Perses

Chapter One

Seren wanted to break something, but she refrained as she walked angrily upstairs to her room and slammed the door. She dropped onto her bed, buried her face in her pillow and screamed in frustration. She was tired of her parents trying to get her to marry that pompous ass Thoas. He was a selfish, conceited rich boy and every time she saw his smug face she wanted to break his nose. She took a deep breath then turned over, staring up at the dancing angels painted on her ceiling. Her parents said it’s what was best for her, but it just felt like they were selling her. She needed to go out for awhile, needed to breathe some fresh air and get Thoas out of her head. She got up, crossing her room to the balcony doors and shoving them open. The forest was gorgeous in the afternoon light, even from a distance. She climbed over the side of the railing and hung by her fingers then dropped down, landing on her feet. Her mother always feared she would break something, but she had done it enough that she knew how to land. read more

Damek & Anahita

Chapter One

Damek was in so much pain, his body battered from being tortured. His blood dripped onto the muddy ground as he ran. He had finally managed to gain his freedom after his guards had made the mistake of unchaining him so he could eat. He had brought the ceiling crashing down around him, expending the rest of his magical energy. Adrenaline alone pushed him. He had not remembered how they had managed to catch him, only that he had awoke in a cell chained to a wall with magical shackles that bound his power so he could not use it. When he had asked his captors what they had wanted they had said nothing. It wasn’t until the next morning, when a man wearing expensive clothes came to him, that he learned they wanted immortality so they would be able to easily defeat their rivals in battle. He could tell by their smell that these men were corrupt and had refused them their wish. He didn’t know how long they had tortured him, one day had bled into another and he wasn’t sure if it had been a week or a month. What he did know is that he was in bad shape and had not been able to heal completely since they were constantly coming to hurt him. read more
