Derrick & Mae

Chapter One

Derrick groaned as he lay there in the alley, his entire being a universe of pain. He clenched his stomach, wondering if his ribs were broken. He didn’t fight the waves of agony, he let them come, he deserved it. Sorrow washed over him and he curled up there, shivering and crying like the pathetic weakling he was. He heard the sound of footsteps and wondered if the men who had attacked him had returned to further punish him. He wouldn’t resist them, between the alcohol and his shame, he wanted to hurt. “Oh my god, are you alright?” The voice was soft, the tone gentle and warm. He barely manged to turn his head, his eyes colliding with those of a woman, those hazel orbs sparkling with concern and shock. “Who did this?” She asked as she reached out to brush his hair from his face. read more

Antigone & Paruush 3

Chapter One

Antigone was out with a few of her relatives, a girls day one of her cousins had put together. On top of that their older son, Kiral was away at a summer camp he had begged them to go to. Antigone had struggled the first few days of it, not used to not having one of her babies with her but she seemed fine now, just happy her son was off and having fun. They had recently had another baby boy but he was still breastfeeding so even though it was a girls day they had one little male guest. However, Paruush was sure the other women loved it. That left Paruush completely alone. He couldn’t stand the house without his family in it so he took his guitar and the sheets of paper he used to write his own music, deciding to go sit somewhere on their vast property. He hadn’t left knowing what sort of music he’d be writing today but he hoped the nature around him would inspire something. read more

Lachlan, Teague, & Kennedy

Chapter One

Kennedy sat in the alley, the hunger beat through him, pounded like a drum, causing tremor after tremor to run through him as he forced himself to stay put in the dark corner of the alley. The urge to feed whispered to him like a siren, tempting him to the pedestrians, to the sound of their hearts and the rush of blood just beneath the surface of their warm skin. He whimpered, fists clenching as he felt his canines lengthen. He didn’t want this, didn’t know what he had done to deserve this curse. He remembered the attack, the feel of being hit from behind, the fingers bunching in his hair and wrenching his head back, the sharp pain blossoming at his throat. No one had cared for the strangled cries of one young man, no one had come to save him as he slipped into the terrifying abyss of nothingness. Then he had woke face down, cold cement beneath his cheek, rain soaking into his clothes, the taste of blood on his tongue. read more

She had only smiled at the young man when he had suddenly attacked her, trying to pull her clothes off. No matter how much she had fought, he wouldn’t stop until she had kneed him in the groin. She hadn’t wanted to hurt anyone, but his disposition had gone from polite to aggressive in a matter of moments and in broad daylight. It wasn’t her fault, it wasn’t fair, but they wouldn’t listen to her, she was just a woman. “Please!” They forced her onto the table and quickly buckled her down. She cried as they switched on the machine and as the leather bit was forced between her teeth. The paddles touched her temples and then there was a crash of glass as the window across from her exploded inward. A wind howled through the room, the lights flickering and then he was there standing at the foot of the table. read more
